More Christmas for Combat Cards SA......

Image
Just a few mores shares using the Kaisercraft Gingerbread 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad and a few different stamps. I'm liking how these are turning out after not really liking the papers to begin with. So much easier to come up with quick ideas when you limit yourself to a few items to use. Thanks for stoppin' by and Happy Craftin'.............

A quick share......

The last of my card order, two cards with no particular theme for females. Stamps are from the Stamps of Life and a free stamp with the Craft Stamper magazine.  Another card for Combat Cards, this Gingerbread pad is actually quite cute for cards without much effort.  Don't forget next weekend is the day for my Combat Cards get together so we can make some more Christmas cards to go with my small batch.  Happy craftin'.................

BYO tools, cards bases and anything else you wish to use. I will have my stamps and paper scraps available for use and will supply, tea, coffee and water with a light afternoon tea.  If interested please PM me for address details. I am limited to 8 attending so booking with me would be appreciated. N.B. I am not affiliated with any shops or direct sales companies I am purely doing this for the purpose of having crafting time with like-minded people whilst producing cards for a cause. At the SA papercraft fair in April I purchased a retailer's kit with a Kaisercraft Gingerbread paper pad, rub-ons, stamp set and card and envelope set with a list of

Catching up with August.........

Just a few layouts done so far for August as my focus has been on cards and procrastination. The first, a layout from Heather's challenge to pull a range of strips of paper out of your stash and make a layout with them and to include a bird somewhere. This was inspired by a Pagemaps sketch from Feb 2014. Next a layout for a colour challenge using a photo of a person on a beach holding a red and white umbrella on an overcast rainy day. You can imagine the tones of grey in that sky and beach scene. Jewels took us out of our comfort zone with an SBS using patterned papers. I'm not a big mixer of patterned papers, I'm a plain cardstock user with a hint of pp thrown in for good balance. I am really happy with how this turned out and used up some old papers that have been in my stash for about 6-7yrs. A card for my Sister's request for a person who likes red, aqua and doing mosiacs. I love how this ended up after lots of cutting up of scraps.

School holiday slow down......

I have been getting a few things done during the school holidays but it does slow my creating time down and I have also been busy applying for jobs. That is a slow process in itself by the time you search and work out if the job is suitable for you, then write a cover letter and go through the application process. Wow, I didn't realise it had become so challenging just to negotiate the process. Well at Home and Scrapped we were challenged by Angie to decorate a monogram and use it on our page. This was my very boring effort at decorating a monogram but it works as a page so I am happy. It uses some old TLC Runway papers that I have sitting around in my stash. Love the bright colours of them so you will probably see them appear on a few more things as I go along.  Heather gave us one of her lovely sketches to play with and I used the sketch for the 8" x 8" section in the middle and decided to frame it with the other papers to finish off the layout. Was very happ
