Snip, Snap, Crop

A quick little play this week with some bits on my desk. Some old TLC papers again with stickers and a die-cut. Sorry for the poorly lit photos today, they were being taken at night.    Holly hobbie free stamps and papers, coloured with water colour pencils and a mix of greetings from Kaisercraft and Stampin' Up. Lastly, another teen girl birthday card with no idea what she likes so this is how it ended up with guidance from son for colour and a music theme.   Thanks for dropping by and happy craftin' this weekend.

Just  a quick share of some cards I coloured at craft last week. The left one is coloured with distress markers after being stamped with Ranger Archival Black on watercolour paper. The right is stamped with a celery stalk base using Distress paint then shaded with distress markers. If I had thought about it before hand I would have stamped it on watercolour paper too instead of some Quill brand card. It turned out okay but the watercolour did not move so well over the paper as it would have if I had used a correct product.  Love both my results though and these will go to Combat cards. Jennifer Rzasa inspired those of us who are painting challenged to just try watercolour painting a Christmas tree as it is a simple triangular shape. I did okay, I think! I have added silver Kindyglitz and silver liquid pearls to look like it is decorated and topped it off with a little silver sequin star. Banner is a tilted banner die from Simon Says Stamp and the stamp is Kaisercraft North Pole. Thanks for visiting......

Kristina Werner started us off today doing a card with an embossed centred greeting surrounded by embossed images and then water coloured the background. My water colours still don't seem to come out too brightly but this was the result of my efforts. I'm happy enough with it and it does look effective as a non dimensional card yet has the texture of the embossed images and glitter glue. Stamps are from a variety of Kaisercraft sets and a few other odd freebie stamps. Thanks for looking, Happy craftin'.........
