Playing a little more.......

I have had a few bits and bobs sitting around on my desk so finally made some into cards.

The first was a digi stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps - Cherrie with rose which I coloured with water colour pencils ages ago and just left lying around. Poor little love, finally made it onto a card. She is cute but I have to find some colours to work on the skin tones as that has not come up as I would have liked.

You will probably be sick of the sight of this Hero arts stamp as I have used it on a few cards now. This background is done with distress stain and ink after the image was stamped with Memento ink ages ago.
Same stamp, white embossed and the background done with my new gelatos.... yay! Loving playing with these.
My first Christmas card for the year done using the napkin technique ironed on using cling wrap that I saw in my Creative Jump Start Lessons for 2013. Not a new technique but just one that I have never had time to try - but now I have. It works a treat!

More gelatos playing but this time colouring directly onto the stamp, misting it and generation stamping. Love this effect and with a simple greeting makes a lovely card.

Now I am by no means an art journaler but wanted to get the techniques I have been playing with into a book to refer back to when I want to do something different so here are a few of my pages just to get the idea. It has been great fun for me who is not a mixed media artist and even though I have seen a lot of the techniques in the past, I really have had a go at trying them this time around so the classes have served their purpose.

Back with more in a couple of days.......
Happy Craftin'
