Time for some shares.

Wow, I didn't realise how far behind I was with sharing my work. I have been busy in a variety of ways and just this weekend spent time setting up and working at the Stamping and Scrapbooking Fair here in Adelaide. Ingeborg, Karen, Kendrie and I had a great time on the Heaven Sent stall and enjoyed chatting with lots of people and of course selling lots of products. My first share is my card that I submitted to win my role on the DT at My Sketch World. I hope you like it as much as Lucy seemed to. Last week on Tuesday we had a power blackout. It started about 2.50pm and came back on about 8.50pm just as I was reading the boys bedtime story by candlelight. You should have heard the complaints of boredom because there was no TV, computer or Wii. They couldn't even do music practice because the keyboard wouldn't work. It was just so drastic..... I was trying to explain how minimal this inconvenience was in comparison to those who have lost their homes in Victoria but for 9 yr

I'm excited!

Today I have heard that I have been accepted for the My Sketch World - Card Design Team for the next six months. So I will look forward to working with Lucy Chesna's designs and sharing them with you. I am also doing card samples for Becky Fleck @ pagemaps this month ready for the Card maps due on the 1 st of March. So, keep an eye out when you get your Page maps email too. I'm also still finishing off my DT work for Heaven-Sent and getting nowhere fast on that. Last but not least I am packaging up three layouts to go to Scrapbook Magazine in the UK as they are going to publish some work in their readers gallery. I'm not sure which edition yet but will let you know as soon as I do. I will share some layouts and cards with you soon but need to get onto photographing and labelling stuff first. Have a fun day!

A few things happening.....

With the nasty bushfires happening in Victoria this week there are a few things happening that you may be interested in getting involved with to help support those involved in anyway. On Sarah Gladman's blog http://sares1911.wordpress.com/ she has shared this: I feel for those families in the Victorian regions devasted by fire this week. I can’t help but feel frustrated at the limited amount we are able to do from here to help. I can donate money but I felt the need for something more tangible to be done for those families who have literally lost everything. As scrappers, one of the most important things we deal with on a daily basis are memories. Family memories, memories of loved ones, memories of holidays, birthdays, christenings, bbq’s and days at the beach. These families in Victoria have got no tangible evidence of their lives left. No family photos. No happy snaps. You can replace a fridge, but you can’t replace years of momentos. In order to help out these family begin to

Photo tagged!...... Who will I choose?

I have been 'photo tagged' by Ingeborg . The assignment is: Go to the 6th album of your photos and find the 6th photo. Share that photo and tell a little bit about it. Tag six people and ask them to do the same. The photo above is the 6th I found in my 6th file. The picture is taken on the 20th of January, 2009. We were staying at Sunraysia resort in Mildura and Mitchell was swimming in the outdoor pool and wanting to know what the metal round piece was in the bottom of the pool. Now ... let me see who I can tag for this? Here we go: Nes Jewels Trisha Ossie Sar Debbie Can't wait to see your pictures too! Melissa.

Cybercropping.... come join me!

You know with all this hot weather I have a house full of unwanted insects and it is driving me insane! I know it is a little revolting but I just had to share this image of the fly that I sprayed the other night. I had to put it next to a normal fly to show you the difference..... no joke, this fly was 4 times the size of a regular fly and about an inch long. It was giving me the shudders just to have it flying around me. Well after that awful thought, onto some sharing. Last weekend I managed to sneak in a couple of the challenges at Scrap of Difference Cybercrop. They had some great challenges but with all the stuff going on in my weekend last week I just didn't find enough time to play with them all. This is a card I made for Rochelle's challenge - to make a card using white, pink and green. I needed the sympathy card to send to my wonderful friend Cathy from the ACT whose Father passed away just before we went to Mildura. My thoughts and prayers are with Cathy and her fam
