Cyber Crop - Friends



The next Cyber Crop is on right now! There are four challenges, which are created by two of our Design Team members, Karen and Mary. The challenges have been posted on our forum today, Thursday February 26, 2009. All the layouts have to be uploaded in our Cyber Crop Gallery by midnight on Monday, March 2, 2009.


On Saturday night we will do a game and chat on our forum too! Cyber Crops are a great way of getting some scrapping done, using products from your stash and to have fun with other members of our Heaven-Sent community. There are prizes to be won and the winners will randomly be drawn on Tuesday March 3, 2009. Here are the four challenges:



Challenge #1
This is a quote challenge; please use one of the quotes below in your layout. Colour choice, style and embellishments are all your choice.

Challenge #3

Create a layout for the Victorian fire victims as mentioned on the forum to be a friend to someone we don’t know. Refer to: ( http://sares1911.wordpress.com/ )


Challenge #4


Please use this sketch from page maps as your inspiration. If you are unable to print photos at home why not use a 6 x 4 print and use embellishments or journaling blocks where the 2.25” x 2.25” photos are.

I'm bound to drop by and join you at some stage so come and have some fun with us.
I do have my regular Friday night crop tomorrow so if you are looking for a place to chat and scrap, come and join us.
I am also running a card class on Saturday afternoon so will be short on time this weekend. I'd like to get a challenge or two done though.

Gosh Christmas is creeping up fast

I'm not real good at this blogging stuff, am I? I have really neglected it lately. We spent a lovely ten days in Cairns in the beginning of November which I am sure you will see in the layouts that I will be creating over the coming months and indeed in the last couple of Cybercrops. We stayed at Holloways Beach which is approx 10kms north of Cairns city and the beach is not like our South Aussie beaches where we have the soft hard packed sand, it was grainy and moved a lot under foot. In Cairns itself you cannot swim at the beach as the city has a more swampy beachfront which is muddy and tacky with lots of crabs. At this time of the year also, the waters are full of stingers so it is dangerous to swim in the sea unless in an enclosed netted off area for protection. Holloways beach had a small area to do this and the boys liked it but the current was strong and wavy and no sooner would they stand up than wave would come and dump them under again. My Christmas cards with North Pole papers.....

Last Christmas season I bought the Kaisercraft North Pole 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad as I really loved the colours of the papers. Of course I really didn't get a chance to use them much  because I had already made my cards earlier in the year so have been putting them to use in recent weeks for my cards for this Christmas Season. Inspired by Pinterest above.    A sketch from Paper Wishes for World Card Making Day was used for above and below.  Above is another Paper Wishes sketch for World Card Making Day and below is OWH sketch #236. The last of the scraps.....

The last of the glossy magazine scraps with toppers and extra bits. These went to Combat Cards SA just before the close off of Christmas cards.   Stamps are from a Clear Impressions set with Creative Stamping magazine. Die-cut is from Stampin' Up.     These are based on some sketches but it has been a while and I can't remember which ones they were so I  won't be able to share that this time around.
