Step-by-step challenge and a couple more cards...........

Image
Heather gave us a step-by-step challenge to complete last week over at Home and Scrapped so we received a step each day which gave us a nice chance to take it easy and complete a layout. I love the results of it and the papers were what I won at Odette's stamp camp last year so I got to play a little. I found lots of little bits in my stash that matched the colours and played to my hearts content. A card from the scraps, in case you couldn't guess - inspired by a sketch from Cardmaps 3 Page 68 which I received in my mailbox last month. More of the red and white Christmas cards for my card order.                                                    I am really enjoying these as I do really like Christmas cards and trying to include using some of my new tools and stamps. Thanks for dropping by and Happy Craftin'.......

June challenges... and it's still in June!

I have had a lovely lady order some cards from me so have been working on these slowly but surely for her. Many are duplicates in some way of what she has seen on my blog as I suggested she look through my blog and choose what she liked so I could get a feel for her preferences.  Here are some I have done so far: These are a batch of 3" x 4" gift cards that are similar to the ones I made slightly larger last year. A couple of men's cards using Kaisercraft Rewind papers from the 6" x 6" pad which I am almost out of now. These were great papers for masculine cards.  And finally the beginning of her request for 10 Christmas cards in red and white. Over to the June challenges at Home and Scrapped..... This is the challenge from Heather to  scrap someone close to you, and finish these two sentences for your journaling, in any way that is right for you:  Every time I think of you ..... (I smile perhaps, or I feel faint with desi

May Challenges and cards.......

Just catching up with my blog that I have sadly forgotten again for a few weeks. My time has been redirected in job hunting and updating my CV, Microsoft Office skills and filling out forms for various clearances that are required these days here in SA, having been made redundant from my role at the end of May. I did get a little scrapping done in May but not a lot. Our little Ning community  of Home and Scrapped is being moved to a Facebook group now so we are still challenging each other with different inspiration for the month but just using a different platform which is probably more accessible for most. Heather challenged us to make inchies in a theme of our choice and use them on a layout so having recently returned from a trip to Sydney where we went to Madame Tussaud's the use of some music themed inchies was going to be easy. Our second challenge for the month was a colour challenge so I kept it simple and just went with the colours that fitted my photos.
