Another month with new challenges .......

A new month brings new scrapbooking challenges at Home and Scrapped.

Amy gave us a recipe challenge this month. Can't wait to see how different they all are using the same ingredients.
Take a 12x12 base
add 3-4 pieces of PP to taste
include a bracket, rectangle and triangle somewhere on your LO
Add photo/s where desired
Try some wet or dry embossing and add a dab/splash of ink/paint
Mix Well
Garnish with embellishments as desired

So, this was what I came up with.

Bec gave us this lovely Design Seeds colour pallette to use:

So, this is how I used it along with Heather's MWS 44-12 and some old photos of my boys in 2006.

Joy has challenged us with a recipe of a different kind:
To create a layout using items starting with holiday
H = hessian
O = orange
L = leaves
I = ink
D = distress
A = arrows
Y = yarn

Most of us have taken it quite literally so far, just like myself...... however we could use other items as long as they started with the required letter of the word. Never mind, her choices worked for me and she must have known that I had that piece of orange hessian sitting in my stash for the past few years waiting to be used one day.

Well, that is all my craftin' for the month so far as I have jumped to sewing a little lately and all the challenges that I have encountered after not sewing much in the past 10yrs.

Happy Craftin' all and have a lovely weekend.
