Neglected blog...

Well you all know how life sometimes gets in the way of blogging, don't you? Well that seems to have happened to me in the past month.

I had this brainwave idea to "adopt" a guide dog puppy for twelve months after seeing a volunteer advert in the local paper. Well, it went from being an idea to actually doing it in a matter of 10 days from the time I first made contact to the paperwork, interview, police check stuff and house check. Our little girl Viva arrived from NZ at only 12 weeks of age and already she is so much bigger and learning quickly.

It is certainly taking up a great deal more of my time than expected but hopefully that will change as she gets bigger and learns more about how to stay quiet by herself. It's like having the routine of a baby but throw in toilet training and toddler grabbing and chewing at the same time.

School holidays have also been happening in my neck of the woods so keeping the boys entertained too has been a challenge when I didn't want to go to far away and leave Viva. They have done so well with her and we have had a few friends visit us rather than go to them.

This weekend is a cybercrop weekend at Heaven-Sent and the theme is 'I spy with my little eye.'

Cyber Crop April 2009 - I spy with my little eye ...

Our next Cyber Crop will be on during the last weekend of April 2009. There will be four challenges. The challenges will be posted on our forum on Thursday April 23, 2009. All the layouts and cards have to be uploaded in our cyber crop gallery by midnight on Monday April 27, 2009. On Saturday night we will do a game and chat on our forum too! Cyber Crops are a great way of getting some scrapping done, using products from your stash and to have fun with other members of our Heaven-Sent community. There are prizes to be won and the winners will randomly be drawn on Tuesday April 28, 2009.

Here are my examples which I have teamed with some CC layouts for the Cybercrop at Scrap of Difference also:

The first a layout with paint on it,

The sketch challenge

The household item challenge - bread tags combined with a white with one challenge at SOD.

A card with and f word and felt flowers.

Some more shares include my example card for My Sketch World this month. Click on the blinkie for that one.

A stamping challenge at Heaven-Sent combined with a challenge at SOD to create your own background and use no adhesives. Background is painted with water colour pencils to resembled layered papers and item are attached with staples, stitching and brads.

Here is a lovely layout of our new arrival using the colours for the challenge at Heaven-Sent this month. Aren't they great colours.

Lastly just a few of the items I completed for the My Sketch World Cybercrop. A card which used stitching.

A layout that I was tagged to scraplift and the last is a layout for the sketch challenge at Scrap Of Difference CC.
