Scrappassion challenge for June and the news of the month

As you may have noticed we didn't receive many entries for Scrappassion last month. It seems that the interest to participate in the Scrappassion blogs isn't there anymore. Combine the lack of interest with some personal things that the blog owner is dealing with and there is only one conclusion: Scrappassion will end on June 30, 2011.

There is however a final challenge for this month:

Take the advertisement shown below as inspiration for your layout.

You can choose to be inspired by certain colours, the design with the 8 rectangles, shapes like the swirls and butterflies, pictures of angels, coke bottles, whatever really. You can also choose to get inspiration of one of the eight pictures, the words (like Love, Play etc.) This challenge really has no limits!

Once you have made your layout, please send an email to Ria before the 30th of June. Visit the Scrappassion International blog for further details.
Here is my example inspired by the bottom left image.

I hope some of you have a go at this months challenge just for a bit of fun.

Great layout Melissa. Where did you get the shadow cutout's? Did you cut them with a Cricut or are they bought diecuts or stickers? I love the masculinity of this layout.

It is a shame that Scrappassion is closing, but I am one of those who have not participated in the challenges for some time. Life has got in the way, as I guess it does for everybody from time to time. H&S is the only site I can just about keep up with. Thanks for sharing your work, Melissa!

Kerri, the die-cut silhouette shapes are a free file that I converted to an SVG file to cut with the Cricut using SCAL. Took me a few goes to get the files right before I could cut them.
Thanks for your lovely comments all.
