Just a quick share......

I did manage to finish the other stitched cards that I worked on at Margaret River so here they are.
Love the metallic thread used with metallic peel offs to create a simple easy design. This pattern is a simpler pattern to stitch so the kids had a go starting on these and got easily bored so Mum took over and finished it off.
A little trim of an edge and add a border to it with the Fiskars Scalloped edge border punch and some more peel offs and it works again.
This has to be my favourite though. It took forever to decide what to do in the centre of this stitched pattern and when I stumbled across this blog of free cutting SVG files it quickly made itself clear to me. I cut the doily file with my Ecraft and added some fine peel off dots and a little bling to the centre. A peel off greeting and some paper lace trim completed it.

Gosh Christmas is creeping up fast

I'm not real good at this blogging stuff, am I? I have really neglected it lately. We spent a lovely ten days in Cairns in the beginning of November which I am sure you will see in the layouts that I will be creating over the coming months and indeed in the last couple of Cybercrops. We stayed at Holloways Beach which is approx 10kms north of Cairns city and the beach is not like our South Aussie beaches where we have the soft hard packed sand, it was grainy and moved a lot under foot. In Cairns itself you cannot swim at the beach as the city has a more swampy beachfront which is muddy and tacky with lots of crabs. At this time of the year also, the waters are full of stingers so it is dangerous to swim in the sea unless in an enclosed netted off area for protection. My Christmas cards with North Pole papers.....

Last Christmas season I bought the Kaisercraft North Pole 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad as I really loved the colours of the papers. Of course I really didn't get a chance to use them much  because I had already made my cards earlier in the year so have been putting them to use in recent weeks for my cards for this Christmas Season. Inspired by Pinterest above.    A sketch from Paper Wishes for World Card Making Day was used for above and below.  Above is another Paper Wishes sketch for World Card Making Day and below is OWH sketch #236. The last of the scraps.....

The last of the glossy magazine scraps with toppers and extra bits. These went to Combat Cards SA just before the close off of Christmas cards.   Stamps are from a Clear Impressions set with Creative Stamping magazine. Die-cut is from Stampin' Up.     These are based on some sketches but it has been a while and I can't remember which ones they were so I  won't be able to share that this time around.
