Just a quick couple of shares of a few more male cards that will go to Combat Cards SA. I loved the design of the one that I did for Hubby's birthday that I decided to go with the same concept and use a couple of other stamps from the free set of male stamps that came with the Creative Stamping magazine I bought last year. The father's day greeting is from the same set and the celebrate is from a Fiskars set called Happy Birthday. The background stamps are Stampin' Up Extreme elements and stamping is with gelatos direct to stamp and then lightly sprayed. These two are duplicates of a card that I made the kids for a teen boys birthday so I made some extras for Combat Cards. Mix of Kaisercraft stamps, Basic Grey, paint dauber direct to card, bottle cap and the back of a round stamp for the larger plain circles. Happy birthday is a die-cut from the Silhouette store. A while back I purchased a card magazine to read in my travels and I am talking probably 12 months ago at least. It was Cardmaking in Easy Steps Issue 4 and had with it a kit containing papers, stamps, felt, hessian, card bases and some card toppers. The whole magazine was filled with ideas for using the kit although I have to admit that I wasn't too fussed with some of the ideas, especially the shaped cards. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer a good ole square or rectangular card. Any way I decided I needed to get rid of the papers so took some of the designs that I didn't mind and worked with them and then started to play with the extra bits I have left over. Most of these will go to Combat Cards SA. This last card is for my DH's birthday tomorrow and is a case of a card I saw on Pinterest using the Extreme elements stamp set from Stampin' Up and also a mix of a freebie stamp (the car) from another magazine set and the greetings from The Stamps of ...

Most of these will go to Combat cards also. Still using up a lot of free papers and toppers that I can't believe are lasting so long. Found a great die - Couture Creations Royal Oval and it matched the oval topper pieces so well. A few Fiskars punches - Scalloped edge, Apron lace also helped to put these together. Stampin' Up greeting from Teeny tiny sentiments and a recently purchased banner sentiment a block mount from Riot art & Craft store. The mini striped panel with die-cut tree came from a friend's mini Christmas card a couple of years ago which I removed from her card front and reused to turn it into a standard A6 card.  Made from scraps this is based on a design I did from Shari Carrol's class a couple of years ago. I love Shari's use of strips of paper and negative die-cuts to make use of all the "bits" on the table.  Last but not least are these freebie tags from a very old copy of a Scrapbooking Memories magaz...

So they are all in the one place I am showing some more of the cards I have been working on for Combat Cards. These are still all done using scraps from my stash that have been sitting around for a while apart from the first one which was a die-cut in a recent swap and the patterned backing paper came in the packaging with it. Flowers are handmade by Heather from a bunch of punched flowers I sent to her. Of course any with glitter on will not go to CC, they will be used by me next Christmas. Lots of old card toppers have been haunting me for a few years now so I challenged myself to do something with them. I think most came from Big W about 6-7 yrs ago after moving back from Canberra and when I looked at them I just couldn't think of what to do with them when I had all this lovely more recent papers, dies and ideas running through my head. So, I bit the bullet and made myself use them and it is amazing when you challenge yourself to use limited resources how you do come up with some inspiration. Stamps on these are Kaisercraft Mistletoe embossed with white embossing powder. I'm a fan of the Stampin' Up white powder as I like the fineness of it. These two were inspired by a card I saw on the front of a magazine - UK Cardmaking and Papercraft issue 122. More using up of those freebie papers from a couple of years ago.
