Neglected blog...

Well you all know how life sometimes gets in the way of blogging, don't you? Well that seems to have happened to me in the past month. I had this brainwave idea to "adopt" a guide dog puppy for twelve months after seeing a volunteer advert in the local paper. Well, it went from being an idea to actually doing it in a matter of 10 days from the time I first made contact to the paperwork, interview, police check stuff and house check. Our little girl Viva arrived from NZ at only 12 weeks of age and already she is so much bigger and learning quickly. It is certainly taking up a great deal more of my time than expected but hopefully that will change as she gets bigger and learns more about how to stay quiet by herself. It's like having the routine of a baby but throw in toilet training and toddler grabbing and chewing at the same time. School holidays have also been happening in my neck of the woods so keeping the boys entertained too has been a challenge when I didn'...

Bet you can never guess what my guys are doing this week!!!!! Mitchell Keelan Ethan I have been going every day for Mitchell and Ethan's class as they happen to be in the same group. Of course I wasn't lucky enough to have Keelan there at the same time so I have only stayed once for his lesson and will stay again tomorrow. Staying for both though has me at the pool from 11 am til 2.45 pm and then it is back up to the school for pick-up. It makes it a long day. I actually got badly sunburnt on my face on Tuesday after not wearing sunscreen because I had given it all to the kids and forgot to get some off of them when I got there. I hadn't taken a hat either as I only own one and because it was overcast when I left home I didn't think to take it. Serves me right! I ended up wearing plenty of make-up yesterday to cover the red. Even my eyelids were burnt....... I'm sharing all the work that I have been up to in the past fortnight as I had finally made time to do t...

A new month already....

I'm am so not with it.... I thought I had another day to complete a couple of layouts for February challenges and it wasn't until midnight clicked over last night and I realised that my watch said 01/03 and I went oopsy..... Never mind, I will finish them off after the Cybercrop now and then upload them to the general galleries. I have uploaded my DT for Heaven-Sent now and am a little sad that it is my last DT kit that I am to work with there. I have had a marvellous time for the last year + creating for the site. I wish Ingeborg and Siebe all the best for their future pursuits. I will be around there still until the end of the month to run the next Cybercrop though so they won't get rid of me too easily. Here is a sample of my work and the rest you will see in the gallery : I had the lovely Teresa Collins Jounal-It range to work with along with some Heidi Swapp stamps and flowers. All my kit details are here on the forum. Scrapbooking Competitions March 2009 over at He...

Time for some shares.

Wow, I didn't realise how far behind I was with sharing my work. I have been busy in a variety of ways and just this weekend spent time setting up and working at the Stamping and Scrapbooking Fair here in Adelaide. Ingeborg, Karen, Kendrie and I had a great time on the Heaven Sent stall and enjoyed chatting with lots of people and of course selling lots of products. My first share is my card that I submitted to win my role on the DT at My Sketch World. I hope you like it as much as Lucy seemed to. Last week on Tuesday we had a power blackout. It started about 2.50pm and came back on about 8.50pm just as I was reading the boys bedtime story by candlelight. You should have heard the complaints of boredom because there was no TV, computer or Wii. They couldn't even do music practice because the keyboard wouldn't work. It was just so drastic..... I was trying to explain how minimal this inconvenience was in comparison to those who have lost their homes in Victoria but for 9 yr...
