Day 4 one layer with Laura Bassen

I love one layer cards like this, Laura Bassen masked off a rectangle in the centre of her card and created a scene with the stencils that she had but not having any such stencils, I went with stamping an image with a Kaisercraft stamp from the Twig and berry collection. Hadn't really used this set much but am finding some uses for it amongst this class. Greeting is also from Kaisercraft. Love the result.

Come back again soon......

Beautiful card! What did you use to get the background?

Hi Suestamps, thanks for your comment, the background was done by blending evergreen bough distress ink inside the masked off rectangle and then flicking water on it to react and lift off some of the colour. It was my alternative to using a stencil as I don't own anything suitable.

Just wanted to tell you how pretty your card is! I found it in the OCC gallery - the tone on tone colors are just stunning. I also love how you used stamps instead of stencils -Genius!

I absolutely LOVE this card. I'm a big fan of CAS cards and you used one of my favorite colors. Your placement of everything is spot on. Think this is my favorite card this class!
